It's well known that PG&E has constructed thousands of transmission towers across California, the majority being built before the 1960s and some of the oldest prior to 1900. But what have been the repercussions?
It wasn't until the Camp and Paradise fires occurred that a tremendous problem, which had been developing for quite some time, came to light. Worse, it was realized this issue had also been exacerbated by a hotter, drier climate and the expansion of both home development and the renewable energy sector during the last 20-30 years.
We are not here to place blame or grind a political axe. But we recognize that in order for folks to make sound decisions about pursuing an alternative energy future, it is necessary to have the right answers. That's why we've taken it upon ourselves to put PG&E's past into perspective and provide you with those very answers.
